Signs of Autumn

I couldn’t wait to make “Signs of Autumn” Table Runner made with www.studio180design.net Wing Clipper I and Corner Beam tools.  I loved the fabrics, the colors were just falling out of my stash.  There were the blues, the oranges, the purples…  I found the border at after I made the center, and it was perfect incorporating all the colors.

This was a fairly quick project, because with the Wing Clipper tool you make four Flying Geese units at a time.  You make them a little larger than they need to be and then trim them down to a perfect size.

When I made the stems of the leaves I sewed on a bias strip, that I had folded in half.  I folded it over again, and hand stitched it down on the opposite side.  This method gave me complete control of placement, and a neat looking stem.
Can’t wait to quilt it.  My favorite part.
